Annual Registration Fees

Annual Registration Fees or the “ARF” are applied to plant protection products (PPPs) and biocidal products to maintain products on the Product Registers for PPPs and biocidal products.

The ARF for products on the Registers is due for payment by 31st December of each year.  A flat rate fee is payable on all products as follows:

€225 – professional use product

€125 – amateur use product

Products that are both amateur and professional are charged at the professional rate of €225.

Where the ARF payment is not received by 31st December the product will be revoked from the register. Reinstatement of the product on the register will require payment of a late ARF.  A flat rate late fee is payable on all products as follows:

€425 – professional use product

€225 – amateur use product

The ARF does not apply to products that are notified, authorised or registered for the first time in that year of product approval. Such products will be eligible for the ARF in the next year.
