Co-formulants
Plant protection products (PPPs) may contain one or more active substances as well as other materials such as solvents, carriers, inert material, wetting agents, etc. These materials are referred to as co-formulants. Co-formulants deemed to have an unacceptable harmful effect on human/animal health or on the environment, will not be permitted to be included in PPPs.
Adjuvants:
Adjuvants are used to optimise plant protection product efficacy. Applicants wishing to place an adjuvant on the Irish market must notify the Pesticide Controls Division (pcs@agriculture.gov.ie) using the appropriate form. Only adjuvants which are included on the product register may be used.
