Amateur Use Rodenticide Products
Since 1st March 2018, members of the General Public can only purchase and use AVK rodenticides containing active substance content < 30 mg/kg.
General Public (Amateur) products are sold as ready-to-use packs and must be used in conjunction with a tamper-resistant bait box, re-fill packs are available. These products can be used indoors for the control of mice and around buildings for rats and mice. They are available for sale in DIY or hardware shops nationally and may be purchased by amateurs, professionals or trained professionals. They do not require any form of proof at the point of sale as restrictions to the use, pack size, packaging and content of the active substance in the product already applies to reduce risk to untrained users.
