5th Biocides Industry Stakeholder Symposium
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) will host the 5th Biocides Industry Stakeholder Symposium on Thursday 29th May, 2025 in Shared Facilities Building, Backweston Laboratory Complex, Celbridge, Co Kildare, from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Registration is now OPEN.
This year’s Symposium is targeted at all companies linked to the registration and sale of biocidal products. If you want information on how to improve your transitional applications, the next steps after notification to keep your product on the market and how to apply for authorisations, you should attend this event.
The aim is to provide information, and a forum for discussion, on such areas as:
- Overview and EU perspectives of the Biocides Regulation
- Biocidal products - Making available on the market
- Data generation, protection and evaluation,
- The role of data in the legislation, including technical data annexes, data waiving and data sharing
- BPR Compliance and Enforcement
- Complying with EU and UK requirements
The Symposium will draw together experts from within the Pesticide Controls Division and Pesticide Registration Divisions of DAFM and invited Symposium guest speakers from The Health and Safety Authority, ECHA, Ctgb The Netherlands, BPRS Forum, industry representative Cefic and the HSE UK. The Symposium will comprise of talks and panel discussions. This will be an excellent opportunity to interact with speakers who are knowledgeable in the area of the Biocidal Products Regulation.
There will be no fee for attendance. The event is limited due to capacity, so early booking is advised, please share this invitation with other groups that may be interested in attending.
