Guidance on Safety Data Sheets

A safety data sheet for the product, active substances and co-formulants is required to be submitted when notifying a product. The safety data sheet includes information about the properties of the substance or mixture including its hazards, handling instructions, disposal and transport and control measures. An SDS should be provided when:

  • A substance or mixture is classified as hazardous
  • A substance is persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic
  • A substance is included in the list of high concern

Safety data sheets should contain the most up to date information on the hazards associated with the substance(s) and the risk management measures required to control those hazards.
