The Pesticide Residues Laboratory analyses for pesticide residues in fruit, vegetables, cereals, animal fat, milk and other dairy products, eggs, honey, infant formula, processed food (including wine, juices, tinned foods and oils) and animal feed under a monitoring programme agreed with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI). The protection of the consumer is the primary aim of our monitoring programme, which ensures that food produced, distributed or marketed in Ireland is safe to eat.
