Permit Applications
Applications can be made for a number of product permits that allow the placing on the market and use of biocidal products under a number of specific conditions. Permits for which an application can be made include:
Identical biocidal products that are authorised in Ireland and in another Member State of the EU may be imported by parallel trade, in accordance with Chapter X of the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR). The products can be relabelled and repackaged in order to be placed on the market and used in Ireland via the parallel trade procedure.
Experimental tests or trials conducted at testing facilities (such as universities, institutes, contract research organisations) for the purposes of scientific or product and process orientated research and development on a biocidal product or a non-approved active substance must comply and make application in accordance with Article 56 of the BPR.
