Review of National Action Plan for the Sustainable Use of Pesticides - 2018

Article 4 of the SUD requires every Member State to adopt a National Action Plan (NAP) for the Sustainable Use of Pesticides which sets out targets, actions and measurements of progress for the reduction of risks and impacts of the use of pesticides on human health and the environment. It also promotes the development and the use of integrated pest management to reduce the dependency on the use of pesticides.

Member States are required to review this NAP at least every five years.

A draft revised NAP has been prepared and is available below for comment by interested parties. We request that all comments should be submitted to PesticideRegisters@agriculture.gov.ie  by 18 June 2018.
