Requirements for registration as a Pest Management Trained Professional User

Pest Management Trained Professional Users (PMU) offering a pest management service must register with the DAFM by clicking here. The PMU must provide evidence that they are trained professional users and agree to participate in required continuous professional education (CPE) to maintain a valid registration. The registration of PMUs is a necessary step towards ensuring proper training and competence among those who provide a commercial service of pest management.

A recognised Ofqual Level 3 training course or equivalent is required.

  • Lantra Award Level 3 Award in Pest Management Services - Trained Professional User (includes CRRU Wildlife Aware course)
  • RSPH Level 3 in Pest Management (requires CRRU Wildlife Aware course to also be completed)

Note: where not included  in the Level 3 training course, the CRRU Wildlife Aware Course or equivalent is required for PMU registration.
